Yesterday in Burbank California at SXSW, Sega hosted their annual Sonic the hedgehog panel to disccus their upcoming arcade racer Team Sonic Racing. Panel speakers included Sonic Team head Takashi lizuka, Sr. community manager Aaron Webber, Director of product development Austin Keys, Sonic series composser Jun Senoue and Tv production coordinator Jasmin Hernandez.
Showing off their customization menu, Sega showed how players will be able to earn in-game credits to unlock all kinds of vehicle parts to modify and upgrade their rides, drastically altering performance amd handling. Check out the video below to see how you’ll be able to modify paint jobs, obtain and use power orbs and even customize the sound of your horn.
The SXSW panel also revealed to fans another upbeat anthem from series legendary composser Jun Senoue with Japanese electronic artist, TORIENA. Set to the racers “Bingo Party” map you can really hear what winning sounds like! Take a listen yourself and see what you think.
And if all that wasnt enough, Mr lizuka also revealed Sonic Team have now started production on the next major Sonic the Hedgehog title! What this is remains to be seen but paint us at Remote Play very VERY excited.
