The California based studio is known for their stellar Playstation exclusives including Spiderman, Ratchet and Clank, and Resistance. Today’s news has officially taken over any announcement of Gamescom and was stealthily made via a Twitter post during the Gamescom Live event on YouTube.
This acquisition comes in the wake of Phil Spencer and the team at Xbox committing to expanding their first party portfolio.
One thing to note is, Sony now officially owns the IP of the former Xbox exclusive, Sunset Overdrive. The potential for future games is not clear, but I’ll say it here.
It’s a match made in heaven.
